“Increasingly, I am deciding that we need a better way to determine the quality of applications for children. We need to develop industry standard rating systems, or systems aligned to Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligence concept or other educational model – a system to help us work out what apps support what aspect of a child’s development. I know we have the crowd rating systems like iTunes star ratings and their ‘Top 10 Free apps’ etc. But, real quality and value is not always well developed by the crowd.”
