When you want to accomplish a task, especially sign making, it is best to use the “plan, do, and review” steps.

1) Plan out what you want your sign to say. Use a ruler to determine the appropriate spacing for your letters. Get any other materials that you may need for completing your sign. Grab a pencil. Tell yourself, “Sketch the design/message with a pencil first!”

2) Do it. Take your time. Don’t rush.

3) Review, or look over, what you just did. Did you achieve what you hoped? Did you complete all parts of your plan? How does your sign look? Is it ready to hang in public?

Exhibit A above: Somebody skipped the planning and review steps. They made it and put it up for everyone to know that they do MAC-PCREPairs.

Awesome.
